Ivermectin Uses
Ivermectin is an antiparasitic medication used to treat a variety of parasitic infections, including intestinal strongyloidiasis, onchocerciasis (river blindness), scabies, and certain types of mite or worm infestations.
In addition to its established antiparasitic role, some independent medical groups — including the IMAHEALTH (formerly FLCCC Alliance) — include ivermectin in their protocols for prevention and early treatment of viral respiratory illnesses, such as COVID-19, Long COVID, RSV, and flu.
These uses are not recognized by major regulatory authorities (FDA, EMA, WHO) and should be considered only as part of doctor-supervised, evidence-evolving approaches.
How Ivermectin Works
Ivermectin binds selectively to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in the nerve and muscle cells of parasites. This disrupts normal neurotransmission, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite.
This mechanism helps eliminate the infection.
In protocols related to viral illnesses (such as those discussed by IMAHEALTH), ivermectin is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antiviral-modulating properties, although these mechanisms remain under scientific investigation and are not universally accepted.
