Common use

Dosage and direction

The usual oral dosage for adults is 200 mg every 4 hours, five times a day for ten days. For recurrent herpes infections, the recommended dosage is 400 mg taken twice daily for up to one year. Always wash your hands before and after applying the cream to prevent spreading the infection. Precautions

Missed dose

If you forget to apply Zovirax Cream at the scheduled time, do so as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply extra doses to make up for a missed one.

Overdose

Symptoms of a Zovirax overdose may include seizures (convulsions), hallucinations, and decreased urination. If you suspect an overdose or experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

Storage

Store Zovirax Cream at room temperature, ideally between 59-77 degrees F (15-25 degrees C). Keep it away from light and moisture, and out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the cream after its expiration date.
